Francine Gosselin, MSW, RSW, ACC

Born in Friendly Manitoba, I moved with my family to Beautiful British Columbia at the age of 7 and have lived here ever since. I currently live and work on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Growing up, my parents instilled in me strong values of integrity, hard work, honesty, and community. From a young age, I was taught to appreciate what I have, to have respect for others, and to operate with integrity. My passion for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds has drawn me to work in roles where I get to hear peoples’ stories and focus on what is truly important to them. I recognize the power of voice and choice to empower people to overcome challenges, to feel more content in their present situation, and to plan ahead for what is yet to come.  I acknowledge that access to choice and voice is influenced by one’s social position in society, and I strive to understand where people come from and what informs their story. I believe that when one is given the space to tap into their inner resources and to draw on their strengths, that they are better able to harness their inner powers and make choices that promote happier and healthier lives.  I have also witnessed what happens when we passively react to life, letting things happen to us, and just hoping that it will all work out.  Leaving things up to chance rarely yields optimal results. Thankfully you don’t have to and I would be honoured to help you own your journey.

Experienced, Professional, Intuitive

I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of British Columbia, and have completed the internationally-recognized Co-Active Training Institute’s coach training program. I have extensive experience supporting people who are facing life transitions, health changes, and personal challenges. Drawing on my experience, my professional skill set, and various evidence-based assessments and tools, I coach my clients to reflect on what is most important to them so that they can move through life with more meaningful intention.  I believe my clients are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole, and I am enthusiastic about helping others live their best life.

“Perfect” isn’t the goal

As a working mother of two, I understand the complex demands faced by individuals who are balancing career, family, and other obligations.  I use a down to Earth, compassionate, and forward-thinking approach to help my clients go deeper, further, and higher to experience more joy, more balance, and more fulfillment. The goal will never be to have a “perfect” life - (whatever that means). My goal is to help you cultivate your existing strengths to give you the confidence you need so that no matter what lies in store for you, you recognize your capacity to thrive.

When not working in a professional capacity or engaged in family life, you can usually find me enjoying the outdoors, camping, gardening, or playing volleyball.

“Working with Francine has allowed me to find my self and inner leader, recognize my strengths, and also leave behind the beliefs that are not serving me. I now recognize my ‘saboteurs’ and can stop them from bringing about self-judgement or “compare and despair” patterns that I fall into. She has helped me move beyond things that have kept me feeling stuck, but most importantly she has focused on my personal strengths and goals that I want for myself.  From our work together I feel belief in and love for myself that I have never felt before.”
